Rise and Shine
My day as a Youngrens HVAC technician starts bright and early at 6:30 AM. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I’m out the door by 7:15, ready to tackle whatever air conditioning challenges await me in Aurora and the surrounding areas.
First Call: Emergency AC Repair
8:00 AM: My first stop is a residential emergency in North Aurora. The homeowner’s air conditioner stopped working overnight, and with temperatures forecasted to soar, it’s crucial to get their system up and running. After diagnosing the issue, I replace a faulty capacitor and have cool air flowing again within an hour.
Mid-Morning: HVAC Installation
10:30 AM: I head to Montgomery for a scheduled installation of a new energy-efficient air conditioning system. This job takes several hours, involving:
- Removing the old unit
- Installing the new system
- Connecting and testing all components
- Explaining the new system’s features to the homeowner
Lunch Break
1:30 PM: A quick stop in Sugar Grove for lunch and to restock supplies in my truck.
Afternoon: Routine Maintenance
2:15 PM: The rest of my afternoon is filled with routine air conditioner service calls in Geneva and Naperville. These preventative maintenance visits help ensure systems run efficiently and catch potential issues before they become major problems.
End of Day: Wrapping Up
5:30 PM: As I finish my last call in Aurora, I complete my service reports and prepare for tomorrow’s schedule. It’s been a busy day, but knowing I’ve helped keep my community cool and comfortable makes it all worthwhile.
Working for Youngrens allows me to put my HVAC skills to use every day, serving the diverse needs of our clients across the western suburbs of Chicago. Whether it’s AC repair, installation, or maintenance, no two days are ever the same – and that’s what I love about my job!
