Early Morning Start

The day begins before sunrise as I pull into the service parking lot at Staab & Sons, Inc. The morning air is crisp, and I can already tell it’s going to be a busy day helping Kansas City residents stay comfortable in their homes.

Morning Routine

6:00 AM – I check my daily schedule of appointments, ensuring my service truck is fully stocked with common HVAC parts and diagnostic tools. Today’s lineup includes:
– Two AC maintenance calls
– One furnace inspection
– An emergency repair for a family whose heating system stopped working

First Service Call

My first stop is a routine AC service appointment. These preventive maintenance visits are crucial for:
– Checking refrigerant levels
– Cleaning or replacing air filters
– Inspecting electrical connections
– Ensuring optimal system performance

Midday Tasks

Between service calls, I take time to:
– Update customer service records
– Order necessary replacement parts
– Consult with teammates about complex issues
– Return customer calls and schedule follow-ups

Afternoon Challenges

The emergency furnace repair takes priority in the afternoon. There’s nothing more satisfying than restoring heat to a cold home and seeing the relief on our customers’ faces when their system starts working again.

End of Day

Before heading home, I ensure all paperwork is complete and my truck is restocked for tomorrow. Every day brings new challenges, but helping maintain comfortable indoor environments for our community makes it all worthwhile.

Being part of the HVAC service industry means adapting to changing weather conditions and customer needs. Whether it’s furnace replacement, AC service, or emergency repairs, each day presents opportunities to make a positive difference in our customers’ lives.
